It is obvious that not just Baltrum has changed, but also its people. The photo shows what life on Baltrum was like around 1920.
In the picture you see our neighbours, skipper Onne Ulrichs and his wife Lettrina in House Nr. 29 in Ostdorf. How long will they have not been allowed to move in order to make this photo? That is the reason by the way , why no one laughs in old photographs. They just did not manage, being forced to sit still for a long time.
