Cut and polish amber and polish, start with raw material and end with a complete piece of jewellery, ready for us. Sometimes we have to put up with a rainy day -- what to do? Why not try making your own piece of jewellery with amber! We'll show you, how to do it.. For those amongst you, who haven't found a piece of amber on the beach, we have a nice sample. Never mind the storm outside. Nice and quiet on your own or in the company of others in our "Kaminzimmer" . Taking a souvenir back home - for yourself or friends - is nice, but one that you made yourself is much nicer. Also for children!
For those, who are interested in amber we would like to introduce the amber exhibition in the "Inselkammer" (island room) of the "Nationalparkhaus". Here you can admire amber in all its varieties: fantastic works of art made by nature, simple amber findings, but also pieces of amber that include valuable things ("Inklusen") with plants and insects as well as works of art made by man and jewellery.
Would you like to make your own doll or teddy bear, when you're on holiday? As a house guest the Szeklinski family offer you the chance to attend a course in their "Kaminzimmer".
The dolls are made of tricot and filling material (wool and synthetics). You can choose from a variety of dolls, made of velvet and having various sizes and colours. Mrs. Evers, the course leader, will also bring some ready made dolls to dress. At a low price you can purchase your handicraft set here and take your own work of art back home again.
